                                               ITINERARY

Day 1.
Arrive Panama City. Overnight in Panama City.

Day 2.
Entire day birding in the National Parks close to Panama City (Metropolitan Nature Park) and adjacent areas. Transfer and overnight in Achiote. (B,L,D) 

Day 3.
Early birding in Achiote Road and surroundings. Owling and overnight in Achiote. (B,L,D)

Day 4.
Early birding Fort Sherman and San Lorenzo National Park. Transfer to Gamboa. Overnight in Gamboa. (B,L,D)

Day 5.
Early birding Pipeline Road and ammo dump all day. Over night in Gamboa. (B,L,D)

Day 6.
Early birding at Plantation Road and Old Gamboa Road. Overnight in Gamboa (B,L,D)

Day 7.
Transfer to Airport for departure (B)

(B, L, D)= B stands for breakfast…; L: lunch…; D: dinner. When food is not specify is not included in the trip price.

Price: us $   per person in double occupancy. All Rates to the ¡2008 All inclusive Birding Package! –Central Panama –are per person and based upon double occupancy. Single accommodations are available check.
                                  Minimum 2 pax. Maximum 10 pax. 

Included: Bilingual birding guide, all ground transportation within Panama and transfers to airport (from Day1 to Day 7), all entrance fees to National Parks, all meals (when apply) and all lodging (from Day 1 to Day 6 inclusive). Excluded: 5% government tax, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, items of personal nature. 

Excluded: Goverment tax (5%), optional tours (extentions), gratuities, alcoholic beverages, items of personal nature, airport departure tax, or international or local airfare.

Deposit:  A 50% deposit from the total price per person, from all the participants is require to assure you a confirmation / reservation. Balance due 30 days prior to departure.  
Deposit can be send via Bank to Bank Transfer or by Western Union. Send for transferring account information info@panamabirdguide.com    No Credit Cards nor checks.

Availability:   2008 ( April to September). Reservation require.
Other Services: Extension (like the Birding by Boat Tour )and other activities to the trip are available. Request for information. 

Flexibility is our trade mark. If Your business or working responsibilities allow less or more Days on a birding trip, we can work together on a Custom-Made Itinerary that will fit Your necessities and cover Your expectations. 

Fitness -  Easy to moderate hiking is require. Birders with moderate physical or age limitations a special itinerary can be made. Either way, birders will have a fantastic opportunity to views an impressive number of birds and species. Advance notification necessary.

Clothing - Dress for hot humid tropical weather  and be ready for rain. Light clothing is recommended: cotton shirts and t-shirts (earth colors preferable), long and short pants, poncho, hicking shoes, an extra pair or sandals, hat, insect repellent and sun block.

Gear -  Binoculars, scope (optional), field guide, notebook and camera.

Guide books recommended: A Guide to the Birds of Panama, by Robert S. Ridgely and John A. Gwynne, Jr.



Refund & Cancellation Policy: With written notice more than 90 days prior to the first day of the tour 100% of your deposit will be refunded, minus a handling service fee. With 30-90 days notice, you will receive a 50% refund of the full cost of the tour. No refund can be made with less than 30 days notice. You will receive a full refund if you provide a total complete replacement for the trip. No refund once the trip begins. We reserve the right to change itineraries, hotels, lodges and procedures without notice, prior and during the trip at No additional costs nor refund. 
Responsibility: Panama Bird Guide Co. (PBG,Co.), Gonzalo Horna G. and/or its Agents act only as agents for the participant in regard to the trip, whether by railroad, motorcar, motorcoach, boat, or airplane and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any reason whatsoever, or through the acts or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. PBG,Co., Gonzalo Horna G and its agents can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine, or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger, as tour rates provide for arrangements only for the time and service stated. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar category for those indicated and to make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary or caused by changes in air schedules. The right is reserved to cancel any tour-trips prior to departure, in which case full refund will constitute full settlement to the passenger. The right is reserved to substitute leaders on any tour. When this is necessary, notification will be given to tour members. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour unless arrangements are made in sufficient time to avoid penalties. The prices of the tours-trips are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect on January 2008 and are subject to adjustment in the event of any change therein. The right is reserved to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of any tour-trip. Baggage is at owner's risk before, during and after tour-trip.

Notes:   The above birding itineraries are based on what are essentially popular routes for birders. It can be shortened or extended. All the date of itineraries include arrival and departure dates. All trips are available year round, but prices may be adjusted around special holidays. Minimum lead time 1 month.
