THE PANAMA BIRDING EXPERIENCE

¡ CENTRAL PANAMA ! All inclusive 7days Birding Tour –

This is our Central Panama (C.P.) -– 7-day, all Inclusive Birding Tour Package, dedicated to birding in several National Parks and other locales on a variety of habitats, including marshlands and lowland rainforest.
We will visit both the most and the least frequented birding hotspots in Central Panama, including the world-renowned Pipeline Road, Achiote Road, Old Gamboa Road, Plantation Trail, Fort Sherman, San Lorenzo National Park and more.
As a conservative estimate, expect between 160+ species during this trip (a much higher number is possible). Please note that the species mentioned below are merely representative of the birds that might reasonably be expected in the areas involved.

ITINERARY IN BRIEF

Day 1
Arrival at Tocumen International Airport, and transfer to Panama City. Overnight in Panama City, Hotel Albrook Inn.
Day 2
Early birding at Metropolitan Nature Park in Panama City ( Lance-tailed Manakin, the endemic Yellow-green Tyrannulet, Rosy Thrush-Tanager); afternoon transfer to and overnight in Achiote (B, L, D), El Toucan Center.
Day 3
Early birding in Achiote and surrounding areas, ( Spot-crowned Barbet, White-headed Wren, Long-tailed Tyrant); late-day owling ( Black-and-White Owl, Spectacled Owl,) and overnight in Achiote (B, L, D), El Toucan Center.
Day 4
Early transfer, with stops at Fort Sherman ( Black-tailed Trogon, Straight-billed Woodcreeper, "Mangrove" Yellow Warbler) and San Lorenzo National Park ( Yellow-rumped Cacique, White-thighed Swallow, Peregrine Falcon); overnight in Gamboa (B, L, D), Ivan’s B&B
Day 5
Early birding on Pipeline Road (Pheasant Cuckoo, Grey Elaenia, Streak-chested Antpitta) and on the Ammo Dump Ponds (Snail Kite, White-throated Crake, Ruddy-breasted Seedeater). Overnight in Gamboa (B, L, D) Ivan’s B&B
Day 6
Early birding on the Plantation Trail and then El Charco Trail (Golden-crowned Spadebill, Blue-crowned Manakin, Great Jacamar); (B, L, D), overnight in Riande Hotel Airport.
Day 7
Transfer to Tocumen International Airport for departure (B)

Notes
(B, L, D): B= Breakfast, L= Lunch, D= Dinner. When food is not specified it is not included in trip price.
Final list for Hotel and B&B will be giving when the tour is book. What we mention above are the most used Hotel & B&B during our birding tours. For the benefit of participants, lodgings will be as conveniently located as possible and in all cases but a few minutes from birding locations. Detailed information regarding lodgings, hotspots, habitats and complete birdlist of Central Panama is available upon request.

Tour Price Include:
Bilingual expert guide, all ground transportation within Panama ( from day 1 until day 7), all entrance fees to National Parks, meals (when specified), and lodging from night 1 through night 6. Full bird species list is available.
Tour Price Not Include:
Gratuities, alcoholic beverages, items of personal nature, tax, airport entry fee and/or departure tax, or international airfares.
For the benefits of participants we reserve the right to make any changes to the above itinerary prior or during the tour.
